Choosing a Domain Name
Choosing the correct company name is important, but if you want to gain a head start on the Internet, then follow these simple steps before choosing a Domain Name:
1. What keywords would your customers use to find your product or service, NOT your Company name. People buy products or services, they will deal with your company, once they know you.
2. Write down these keywords and then use the Google KeyPhrase tool to see how many times those keywords are searched for, and what the advertiser competition is.
3. Your Domain should ideally contain the most popular keywords OR ones that have a low advertiser competition with a reasonable amount of searches.
A worked example:
- Assume you are a Bathroom Tiler.
- Enter “Bathroom Tiler”, “bathroom tiling” and “tiling” into the KeyPhrase tool
- Possible Domain names may be
